Everyone has cancerous cells in their body but they are distributed across the system in tiny quantities. It becomes only a problem when it is more concentrated in one place in the body. Cancer cells need more food(energy) to survive than the normal cells in the body.
I agree with you that processed food and sugar can cause cancer cells to grow. As you mentioned, Bitter greens are very good to make the body revive again. Spinach is one plant we use regularly as part of our regular diet.
