How Do I Remove Glyphosate From My Body?
How do I prevent exposure to glyphosate from herbicides like Roundup, and since we have all been exposed to it, and can not really avoid being exposed to it on a regular basis, how do I remove glyphosate from my body that has already accumulated? And can I test at home for glyphosate in food and water?
Is Gluten Intolerance really GLYPHOSATE POISONING?
There are ways to detox from glyphosate, and we will get to them, shortly.
But first, “what exactly is glyphosate?”, you might be wondering.
Originally used as an industrial pipe cleaning solution, glyphosate became known as an herbicide when it was discovered that the plants surrounding the pipes invariably wilted and died. This resulted in the development of Roundup, Rodeo, and Poundmaster, which were put on the market to sell to farmers for their food production. It is used on fruit and vegetable crops, crops like canola, corn, cotton, soybeans, sugar beets, and wheat, as well as lawns, greenhouses aquatic plants, and forest plantings.

Is Glyphosate Responsible for the Dramatic Increase In Autism?
It should be clarified that the “dramatic increase in autism cases” in recent years is largely due to us being far more “on the lookout” for it than we used to be. It is far more widely diagnosed than it used to be. It is not so much that there are way more cases of it.
If autism is indeed a mental impediment or disease (which we aren’t here to debate), and can be developed, rather than (or as well as) being genetic, or “just the way some people are”, that is another discussion. For the sake of this article, we will assume that what they call autism in studies of glyphosate exposure is actual damage to the brain.
Scientists have been researching the illusive cause of autism for years while watching the cases increase regularly. Others have been researching the harm done by pesticides and herbicides. Well, there has been a breakthrough in this regard. It has now been shown that autism coincides perfectly with the use of glyphosate. Not only that but there is a connection between glyphosate and other diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s disease.

Glyphosate And Its Relationship To Autism
Children showing symptoms of autism should have their urine tested for toxic chemicals, using the Glyphosate Test, among others. These tests will assure the parents of receiving the proper treatment for their child, not to mention providing documentation of the factors causing the autism
An example of how this poison gets into the intestines of children with autism is corn.
When the corn fields are sprayed, the weeds die but the corn lives on, still containing high levels of glyphosate. Adding insult to injury, this cannot be washed off as it is spread throughout the plant. Therefore, almost all of the beneficial bacteria, or probiotics in the intestines of humans and farm animals are killed by this powerful substance.

Other Health Issues from Glyphosate Exposure
Extensive ongoing research is being done as to other health issues resulting from long term glyphosate exposure and the findings are brutal:
- some studies link glyphosate to non-Hodgkin lymphoma, although this is controversial.
- Glyphosate exposure has also been linked to the development of various other types of cancer.
- liver and kidney damage are caused by glyphosate.
- stunts the production of essential amino acids and serotonin
- disrupts the microbiome in the intestine, diminishing beneficial bacteria
- disrupts the endocrine system
- causes birth defects and reproductive problems
- causes numerous dysfunctions in other biological systems

Glyphosate and Mitochondria Dysfunction and More
Good ole Roundup has put one more notch on its belt. Many autistic people, including children, have issues such as food sensitivities, bloating, constipation, and other gut issues. To put the research in layman’s terms: Glyphosate disrupts certain microbes, making them unavailable or toxic and inefficient in the human body. As well, it disrupts liver enzymes that are necessary for detoxifying toxic chemicals. Thus the gut issues.
Glyphosate is a huge danger to the metabolism of the entire body. Mitochondria, known as the powerhouses of cells, are disrupted by glyphosate, resulting in fewer units of energy produced.
If mothers are exposed to glyphosate during pregnancy often their infants’ development is altered. It disrupts the enzyme that converts testosterone to estrogen, which boys need for brain development. The girls end up with poly-cystic ovary syndrome, the most common cause of infertility.

How Much Glyphosate Is In Our Food?
The content of glyphosate in foods are constantly being measured with the following results:
- 30 samples of oat products and 27 of dry pinto beans found it in every sample tested.
- it was found in 63% of corn samples and 67% of soybean samples
- all of the wheat samples tested contained it.
- pasta samples contained levels ranging from 60-150 parts per billion.
The food we eat is contaminated before it is harvested and processed. It is present in oatmeal, cereal, granola bars, pasta, kidney beans, chickpeas, avocados, apples, blueberries, cherries, cucumbers, dates, garlic, lemon, olives, peanuts, pomegranates, potatoes, rice, spinach, tomatoes, and walnuts.
Signs of Glyphosate Exposure
Exposure to glyphosate in your day to day life is constant. If you use a weed killer containing this substance on your lawn or garden you would be exposed by
breathing it in, getting it on your skin, or getting it in your eyes. If you do not wash your hands immediately after use and before eating, you would be exposed. When you are exposed your eyes, skin, nose, and throat will become irritated. In your eyes it could cause a corneal injury. If swallowed it produces increased saliva, burns,
and pain in the mouth and throat. It can cause nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

How Do You Avoid Glyphosate (As Much as Is Possible)?
The answer to this is eating whole foods whenever possible and buying organic products. Glyphosate is banned in organic products. If you are lucky enough to know a local farmer who doesn’t use chemicals, buy directly from him.
Also, be aware that glyphosate is in your tap water. In order to keep your drinking water safe you must install a reverse osmosis filter system.
This is the only filtering process that filters out glyphosate.
A reverse osmosis filter system will also remove fluoride from tap water, but keep in mind that it also removes important minerals, but due to soil depletion these days, trace mineral supplements are already virtually crucial.

How Do I Remove Glyphosate From My Body?
Eat fermented foods such as sauerkraut and apple cider vinegar. The microbes in these foods are able to metabolize glyphosate.
Several studies reveal that glyphosate accumulates in the intestine, bones, muscle, liver, kidneys and spleen.
Some other things that help the detox process are radishes, dandelion extract, berberine, milk thistle and activated charcoal.

Can You Test for Glyphosate At Home?
Yes! You can test at home for glyphosate in food and water. There are kits you can purchase to test your body for glyphosate, or to test your food and water.

- Automatic: after installation, water is automatically filtered and stored in a tank. All you have to do is flip a handle to pour yourself a glass of water
- Endless water: produces more water than you can drink and filters last for a year, if not longer
- Cheap: produces water for the cheapest cost per gallon
In Summary
Glyphosate is nasty. But it is possible to remove glyphosate from your body, to limit your exposure to and consumption of it, and even test at home for glyphosate in our food and water (and in our body).
It is to be hoped that with more and more exposure regarding the devastating effects of this monster in our midst it will be completely banned and production will be
stopped. Monsanto will not agree so it will be a long and vicious fight, but will be well worth it in the end.

Thanks for sharing your experiences, and for visiting us again. Glad you found the article useful.
Thank you for posting this important article in the web.
The extent of damage one chemical cause or responsible for is unimaginable. Glyphosate has a half life in plants of 3 days to 19 weeks.
There are NCBI studies about this chemical and it is suspected for the development of autism Spectrum.
With such a severe action of this chemical on human it is unfortunate it is not banned yet. It seems like the reverse osmosis filtration system for water is a must for anyone.
I eat oats, berries, wheat flour, chick peas and everything you mentioned on regular basis. Back home, there a place we where the farmers never use herbicide’s, we use to procure food stuff from them. We have to dig out similar places here in US.
This article helps me adding ACV to my daily routine as a cleanser for my body. I like your recommendation of iherb for supplements if I happen to buy them.
We’re glad you found it interesting and useful, Tigan.
Do you find it demented that the very “organizations” that are supposed to ensure everyone’s good health are the very ones hellbent on destroying it? I’m sure most people these days would eat better if they had a choice. Organic food is very expensive (go figure). It is bizarre that you have to pay more for the privilege of eating food that isn’t poisoned…
Glad to hear it, Fabi! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience with milk thistle. Maybe I’ll quote you for a future article on it, if you wouldn’t mind… 🙂
Cheers.
Hay, I found your page very interesting! It really is sad that we consume so much of these deadly poisons now in our food and water sources! Nowadays what with the amount of pesticides too we are really in times where our body is impacted by so many different chemical. To be honest I didn’t think of weed killer too! Thanks for the detailed post!
Hi, I found your article very informing and interesting. I knew that glyphosate is not good to the human body, but I didn’t know that it’s a cause for illnesses like autism and alzheimer’s. I think it’s good to know which things help to get rid of glyphosate in our bodies, I did know that milk thistle is very good for detoxing, and now I know it’s one of the herbs which helps to eject glyphosate. When I ate milk thistle over a period of several weeks, I became lean and my skin was better off. I bookmarked your site, as I’m also in favor of un-pharmaring my life…..thanks!
Thank you much, and Larke thanks you, especially! You will be happy to know that there seems to be many, many people who are unaware of the harms of glyphosate. 🙂
I love your articles and find them to be very informative. At the expense of my own intelligence I will admit I did not know any of this about weed killers and Glyphosate. I was not aware that it had so many potential affects on us humans and will absolutely be more cautious if/when I use it again.
Thank you!
