  • box breathing. Inhale for four counts, hold for four counts, exhale slowly for four counts, then pause for four counts.

Acute bronchitis can be treated at home and usually lasts from one to two weeks. The following home remedies have proven to aid in recovery:

  • Garlic effectively inhibits the growth of the bronchitis virus. It can be eaten fresh or in capsule form. Take it in small amounts as it can upset your stomach.

I have got sinus issues , i usually do steam , gargling with luke warm water and salt, having  lemon and ginger tea before bed time. Its works very weIl. I take turmeric with milk as well . Turmeric is antibacterial and antiviral.  Lifestyle chnages plays an important role in the respiratory system.

    I really wished I’d known all about these herbs that are good for respiratory health years ago. Perhaps my dad would have lived longer. He suffered from chronic asthma for several years but did not want to get checked by the doctor. Until it was already too late; the doctor said it turned into asthmatic bronchitis and had other lung complications as well.

    We all have to take care of our health. It would be good to focus on prevention and not on cure. We should give up unhealthy habits, alcohol, tobacco, fats, and sugar.
    Even if we don’t want to, we still end up suffering from some disease. Lung diseases are serious and can occur for many reasons. And they are also quite difficult to cure. Most of the time we go to the doctor when the symptoms are visible, fever, cough, fatigue, although the said disease started a long time ago, we don’t know because the LUNGS DO NOT HURT!
    And I prefer to use natural treatments as much as possible. In the family we drink a lot of tea with honey and lemon, we use a lot of garlic in dishes and salads, and we drink water with ginger and lemon.

Hi Larke!  I occassionally have sinus issues.  However, I have learned that home grown honey really works.  You can take a teaspoon full or add a teaspoon of honey to your tea, coffee, or your smoothies.  As long as you keep it in your system you are sinus free.  I also find that steam works as well, opening up your sinuses and clearing out the lungs.  I have been doing these two methods for years.  I don’t like taking anything in pill form.  I noticed that you also mention turmeric which has so many benefits – including arthritis, digestive disorders, respiratory infections, allergies, liver disease, and depression.  I occassionally use it in my tea.

    What remedy would recommend for joint pain?
