What Is Alternative Health Care? | Maintain Natural Health
If you are wondering, “What is alternative healthcare?”, I would simply define it thusly (though we will discard this word, shortly):
Alternative health / natural health care is a system of therapies, remedies, and preventative methods created and that nature still produces. It works with the built-in restorative powers of the human body to restore and maintain natural health and wellness. Furthermore, it utilizes forms of healing which take into account the whole person’s mind, body and emotions for the purpose of bringing balance and harmony to his or her life.
With alternative health care (a term we will cease to use after this article–I will explain why in the next section) an individual is not taking a dose of medication to cure a symptom of an ailment. In fact, they will examine his/her whole person, and will consider lifestyle factors such as diet, stress, sleep habits, and other factors.
And a person is allowed to assess himself as a whole human being, and is not just considered a disease.
Why Does Everyone Hate Big Pharma? | The History of Modern Medicine
Why Is It Called “Alternative”?
As stated above, we will not use this word, “alternative” after this, and here is why:
Nature was here first.
And like everything else, man decided he could do it better, and capitalize on it, to boot! And WOW, did he ever!
I could write a whole book on this, but I’m sure several other people already have…
So, what is alternative health care?
By the above rationale, turning to the pharmaceutical industry is an alternative to any natural way to care for your health. From here on in, we’ll refer to it as “natural” health care.
Physical exercise, eating natural whole foods, stress management techniques, nutritional supplements, natural medicines or therapies. These are all elements of natural healthcare, or what we call “true health and wellness”. As difficult as it has gotten, it is more crucial now than ever before to practice true health and wellness.

Who Is Big Pharma?
This is going to be difficult for me talk about delicately or diplomatically, but I’ll do my best.
I have become more passionate about true health and wellness as I have grown more and more aware.
Aware of how little the pharmaceutical industry is about health and wellness, and how much it is about using people’s infirmities to build a colossal empire.
Who Is Responsible for Opioid Addiction?
For now, we won’t go too much into the fact that the “Big Pharma” machine is largely responsible for opioid addiction in North America.
But the truth is, these huge drug empires, such as Johnson and Johnson and Pfizer have been involved in a long list of unethical practices. These include illegal marketing practices and unethical drug testing and contamination issues, product safety, and marketing and safety violations.
Also, they are guilty of foreign corrupt practices and government contract violations. Hundreds of millions of dollars in fines (little more than a mere annoyance to them) have been the result. You can see their rap sheet and those of many other contemptible corporations destroying health and lives for profit (like Monsanto), on this website.
Pfizer Is Just One of Many
As a matter of fact, Pfizer is known to test experimental drugs on Nigerian children, killing many of them and causing permanent brain damage, organ failure and other side effects to those who survive. This is just one of a very large list of atrocities by just one of these many companies. There are many of them regularly accused of bribery, environmental violations, labor and worker safety violations and much more.
“Pfizer is demanding countries put up sovereign assets, including bank reserves, military bases and embassy buildings, as collateral for expected vaccine injury lawsuits resulting from its C**ID-*9 inoculation…”
There is a ton of information out there on this subject, and you can look into it for yourself. I just wanted to illustrate one of the main reasons I decided to become an advocate for natural wellness online.
Why Natural Health Care?
Besides the growing concern over the practices of big pharmaceutical companies and their research methods, there are other reasons why natural health care is becoming so popular:
- People like to know they are looking after their own health, and know what they are putting in their bodies
- A growing disenchantment with drugs and “conventional” medicine
- A desire for remedies provided in nature, not toxic or synthesized chemicals
- People want to know they are working with their bodies, nurturing the body’s built-in healing ability
- It seeks to identify an underlying cause for the symptoms experienced
- It encourages the promotion of sustainable, continued health and prevention of disease
- Natural healthcare looks at the whole person and not just a particular disease
- Unlike pharmaceutical medicine, natural health does not aim to keep you on its hamster wheel of sickness, or to kill old people, whom it sees as a burden on the system
- The side effects of prescription drugs that were prescribed legally and correctly, and properly taken have killed about 100,000 people a year.
Let Us Hear the Conclusion of the Whole Matter:
Un-Pharma.com is dedicated to promoting true, natural health and wellness products and information. The reasons I have tried to make plain in this article. I aim to promote a balance of important, relevant and current information, and products here. All will have been tested, are safe, natural and effective, and are things that I either do or would use, or plan to use myself.
If you have an ailment or a health condition, there is something in nature created to resist it. But like everything else, there will be schemes and scams. And someone distorting and exploiting it for their own benefits, or passing something off as the real thing, which is not genuine.
Or else the “powers that be” will strive to hide it or discredit it, because it threatens their empire, and thus, their ego, and ability to control the masses.
The Main Goal
So, the goal and function of Un-Pharma.com will be to stay abreast of these things, helping you to maintain natural health.
And we will bring you products and information to help you to learn and discern. To ultimately help you to put your health and well being back into your hands. Too many of us are blindly manipulated into poverty and chronic sickness, which was never our lot in life!
What is alternative health care? It ought to be Pharmakeia.
What is true natural health?
Well, it’s what Un-Pharma.com is all about, and it is a journey, which we would be honoured to take you on.
Thanks for coming by. And (if I may), I believe that whatever brought you was no accident.
Blessings to you!

Hi, Carolyn. Doctors can be useful if you can find a good one. But that is becoming harder and harder. The main reason people need doctors is because they have caused people to need them.
Thanks for your thoughts.
Thanks for your post on Natural Healthcare. It can be difficult to walk the fine line between needing medical care for necessary reasons and using natural means to keep us healthy. When I was young it was very seldom that we ever went to see a doctor. As I have gotten older, I find more reasons for their services.
We need to be awake and aware as to what goes into our bodies and work with the medical system to that end. Thankfully, my doctor has many times been willing to work with me as I navigate taking charge of my own health. Suffice it to say, I probably would not be here today, if it was not for some medical intervention.
Very true, and well said, Johan. Thanks for coming by and leaving your thoughts.
Thank you much! And blessings to you and your site, also.
There are a couple of reasons why alternative medicine takes second place to patented drugs.
The most popular defense offered is that patented drugs are backed by scientific research and clinical trials. Alternative medicine and therapies are not generally being taught at medical schools in the US, and as a result, medical practitioners follow the status quo, treating the symptoms, and failing to address the root cause. And finally, more often than not, health insurance providers do not reimburse members for alternative medicine and or therapy.
This is a very interesting topic for me, because I deal with a similar topic. I write about children’s immunity, especially about raising immunity naturally and herbal preparations. I think that your site is very good and that many will find good advice in it. I will recommend the text for sure.
Very well said. Thanks for your comments!
I must say that I don’t know what “pandemic” you could be referring to. I am not aware of any pandemic, other than the pandemic of lies and propaganda and tyranny…
Actual pandemics kill masses of people. That’s why they are called pandemics. The only thing killing masses of people right now are the “measures” to “protect” everyone. Absolute evil creeps!
Sorry for the tangent. 🙂
I wholeheartedly agree with you that “alternative” medicine should be called “natural”, and the chemical products produced by BigPharma, should be the alternative. For thousands of years, people lived and survived using natural and plant products. But that all changed when BigPharma came along and because they couldn’t make money from natural products, they started telling everybody that what nature provides, is no longer good enough.
They create chemical products that are bad for us, and then they create more chemicals that is suppose to make you better. We have seen this again with the current pandemic. Instead of looking at nature and natural healing and products, BigPharma is lobbying politicians to ban natural products, just so that they can make more money.
Thank you for this brilliant post, I will be sharing it.
Your article mentioning flouride good/bad?? When I was in highschool, 11th year, one of the lyceums was a guest speaker talking about the dangers of flouride, it destroys our back bone (well, all bones). I have not had much dental work done, When I was around age 65 I went to a dentist to clean and check my teeth. He used flouride “to strengthen my teeth.” Huh? If it weakens the bones, how can it strengthen the teeth? I requested all my mercury fillings be carefully removed, and that no flouride be applied. He complied.

Thank you very much, Hilde. There is so much more I could have said, but there will be more opportunity to expound, obviously. Cheers!
Thanks for the comment, Kokontala. Blessings to you.
Yes, exactly! Thanks, Michel.
A voice like yours is absolutely needed. Promoting natural wellness is the most important we can do to prevent Illness in the first place. As a former healthworker I know all about side effects of prescription drugs and personally I have a standpoint to stay away from it as best as I can. If I have headache I never take a pill. I sleep or drink water. However I am not against prescripted drugs because there are some people who need it in some cases. But I do believe the best way we can help ourselves from being Ill is to eat and drink healthy, be active and feel happy. We should all demand healthier food in the stores. A problem with the giants in medicine you refer to here is the power and authority they have developed over people who are wounerable. And we all know where there is big money involved – there is a lot going on behind the scenes. It is a minefield where you need to thread carefully. So yes! I agree Promoting Natural wellness is the key to a better global health.
This article certainly brought a few hard truths home. The pharmacy industry is huge, and obviously, it is necessary for chronic diseases and medicine for the ill.
The whole thing though is to try not to get ill in the first place by eating healthy unprocessed foods and looking after your personal health. When I get sick I always try natural remedies first and only resort to medicine if nothing helps.
The problem is that once one is on chronic meds there are just so many unsavory side effects, causing one to have to take more meds, and it is also very difficult to get off them again.
Good day, I am very happy to have read the article about Alternative Health Care you shared. I find it to be very important, educative and interesting. Alternative health care is very important to our body well-being in terms of health and fitness. It’s great to promote natural health and wellness products. This is helpful, thank you very much for sharing.
Much appreciated, Sharon!
Your explanation of what alternative and natural health care are is very well written. I see where you are coming from and agree with you on how big pharma manipulated health care. Worst, innocent children are involved. Thanks for bringing this delicate matter to light. In this online world, more people are informed and I hope even more people will take the natural path to better health.
I like to read more of your articles. Good job!
Thanks, Jamila. Yes, I can sometimes tell, but have found that when I am used to a certain diet, or habits, I don’t really notice how bad it has been making me feel until I stop, or replace those things with something better.
Beautifully written, I definitely know when my body is off-balance, usually when I have eaten all the wrong things which then has a knock-on effect on my mind, so yes we definitely need to watch what we put into our bodies. I believe in both, Alternative Health Care and Mainstream. But, the alternative is probably better but also can be more expensive. But, then It’s better to spend that bit extra on looking after yourself right?
