Will DMSO Heal Cirrhosis of the Liver?

Here are some other questions about DMSO we’ll be answering:Will DMSO Heal Liver Cirrhosis?

What Is DMSO?

DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide) is made from tree pulp, and widely and almost religiously used by athletic trainers and many veterinarians. It is a colorless, oily substance that was all but forgotten about for several decades, since first being synthesized by a Russian scientist in 1866. He found DMSO to be a very good degreaser, paint thinner and antifreeze.

Since just after the 2nd world war, an interest in DMSO has re-surfaced, and it is now quite widely regarded as having many medicinal uses for humans, including the restoration of eyesight, treating joint pain, migraines, hair loss, calcification, skin burns, and much more.

Pure DMSO has a freezing point of 68 degrees Fahrenheit, and is highly hygroscopic, meaning that it is very attracted to water, and pulls water out of the air, as well as out-of-body tissue, bonding with water molecules and helping it travel through the tissue. Thus, DMSO can also carry other substances to places they could not otherwise go. It can penetrate the skin very easily, as well as nearly all other tissues and membranes, and passes easily through the blood/brain barrier. Most drugs cannot penetrate the blood/brain barrier, but with the help of DMSO, they can. This also allows much smaller doses of a drug to be necessary.

DMSO acts as an anti-inflammatory, a diuretic, has painkilling and tranquilizing properties, stimulates the immune system, and can detoxify you from heavy metals, among its many mighty virtues. It also scavenges and eliminates the free-radicals in your body responsible for disease and aging, and can even heal brain and spinal cord injuries and mental disorders.

Can DMSO Eyedrops Heal Cataracts and Macular Degeneration?

Administering DMSO eye drops can heal cataracts and restore eyesight affected by macular degeneration, believe it or not. And it is completely safe, by the way. A couple drops twice a day for 2 weeks, and you should notice a distinct improvement in your vision.

How To Improve Eyesight and Ditch Your Glasses

As far as eyes are concerned, the evidence on DMSO is quite to the contrary. When several patients treated with DMSO for muscular problems reported to Dr. Jacob that their vision had improved, he sent them to Dr. Robert O. Hill, ophthalmologist at the University of Oregon Medical School. Confirming the favorable changes, Dr. Hill began his own experiments with DMSO (after it was known that the lens changes did not happen in humans). His research showed drops of 50% DMSO to be effective in retinitis pigmentosa and macular degeneration, and presented a report on this at the New York Academy of Sciences symposium in 1971. Will DMSO Heal Liver Cirrhosis?

DMSO can certainly help heal a fatty liver, which can lead to cirrhosis.

Known to soften scar tissue, DMSO can help stop cirrhosis of the liver, if not reverse it, being that liver scarring is not really reversible, per sey.

A study was done on 12 homeless people living in downtown Los Angeles who showed symptoms of terminal liver cirrhosis.

Will DMSO Heal Liver Cirrhosis?

They were ordered to abstain from drugs and alcohol and given one teaspoon of 99% DMSO in 1 oz. Aloe Vera juice twice per day (I couldn’t find how long the study lasted).

8 of the 12 subjects respected the alcohol and drug restrictions and lived for many years, stopped having cirrhosis symptoms and enjoyed good health.  None of the 4 who did not respect the abstinence requirements survived.

This study showed that DMSO decreases the severity of liver damage.

Can DMSO Be Used to Treat Tinnitus?

Being that tinnitus is caused by having too much insulin / high blood sugar, you would want to cut back on your sugar intake as much as possible, first.

Excess sugar consumption causes high insulin levels, which in turn cause inflammation. DMSO works to heal Tinnitus because it is an anti inflammatory. But you should honestly not bother with any treatment if you are a sugar-aholic (eating lots of carbs is bad too, as they turn into sugar).

A study was done on 15 patients who all suffered from chronic tinnitus (5 of which also had vertigo). Each subject was given 2 milliliters of medicated DMSO solution every 4 days in the ear canal, as well as an intramuscular injection of the same.

9 of the 15 patients’ tinnitus was completely gone after 1 month, never to return. The remaining 6 subjects reported that the tinnitus was either substantially diminished, or had become occasional. The 5 who also had vertigo noted significant improvement there, as well.

Why Hasn’t DMSO Been Approved as a Treatment for Cancer?

i2b.us concludes in this article that:

“Based on the clinical records and researched facts, DMSO shows high potential in treating a wide variety of cancers. The evidence available so far  provides a substantial amount of relevancy regarding DMSO as a treatment for cancer. Therefore, we conclude that the verdict against DMSO as an unproven treatment for cancer is false, although more clinical research needs to be done to confirm its benefits and make it available for wide applications. Why Hasn't DMSO Been Approved as a Treatment for Cancer?

According to studies, the following types of cancer are treatable with DMSO:

  • Melanoma
  • Prostate cancer
  • Gallbladder/ Bile duct cancer
  • Leukemia
  • Colon cancer
  • Lung cancer
  • Lymphoma
  • Ovarian cancer

As a cancer treatment, DMSO shrinks rapidly growing cells, and stimulates HLJ1 (a tumor-suppressing protein). DMSO, when used alongside chemotherapy, has shown to greatly reduce some of the negative effects of the latter, and produce a positive quality of life for those patients to whom the DMSO was added to their therapy, and these benefits were long-lasting.

DMSO in conjunction with other treatments has shown to regress cancer in a very effective way (Ayre, 1967).

So why hasn’t the FDA approved DMSO for cancer treatment?

Oh-oh. Here we go…

The #1 Lie Told in Medical School | Is the Healthcare System Unethical?

The reason the FDA hasn’t approved DMSO for cancer treatment will probably be very predictable to you, if you are a frequent visitor to this website, or ones like it. It is because there is no potential monetary value in them promoting DMSO, being that it cannot be patented, being a natural compound. And also because it heals people.

That is all I will say about that, at the risk of sounding like a broken record. But you can  read more about this here.

How Can Adding Magnesium Oil to DMSO Have Huge Benefits?

For people who eat lots of sugar and processed foods, or have drunk tap water their whole lives, using DMSO and magnesium chloride together, either topically or ingested, is known to decalcify arteries, joints, glands and organs very rapidly.

Magnesium oil (magnesium chloride) is already the most bio-available form of magnesium you can take. But paired with dimethyl sulphoxide, it really goes to town.

Why Are We Nearly All Magnesium Deficient? | Can It Cause Anger? How Can Adding Magnesium Oil to DMSO Have Huge Benefits?

American neurosurgeon and pain medicine pioneer Norman Shealy, MD, Ph.D. states that, “Every known illness is associated with a magnesium deficiency and it’s the missing cure to many diseases.”

Magnesium is crucial for cellular health and an essential component of hundreds of biochemical functions in the body, helping to regulate calcium, sodium and potassium. And, sadly, most people do not seem to be aware that they are deficient in magnesium.

“Magnesium changed my life.”

I highly recommend adding magnesium to DMSO for a plethora of health benefits, fast.

Calcification of arteries, organs, glands and joints plays a major part in human suffering. These substances remove all calcification and remineralize the body along with many other benefits.

Precautions with DMSO

Any side effects you may experience after taking DMSO will very likely just be detoxification reactions. These would include upset stomach, headaches, dizziness, and feeling like you’ve been mildly sedated.

Always use distilled water when mixing your solutions. DMSO could carry any contaminants mixed with it into your bloodstream. Also, don’t apply it to your skin and then cover it with clothing, which almost certainly has dye in it.

During pregnancy or breastfeeding, DMSO should not be used by women within a week of any liver function test or other tests, as it may give a false reading.

Skin conditions like psoriasis could be worsened with prolonged topical use of DMSO, although it has been found to help such skin conditions, if not overused. With DMSO’s attraction to water, it will tend to dry out skin a bit, at the best of times.

If any concerning side effects should present themselves, just try employing more dilute solutions.

Most importantly, DMSO increases the effects of pharmaceutical drugs like steroids, blood thinners, sedatives, heart medicines, etc. Also, make sure the DMSO you buy is pure. If it is, it will turn solid in the refrigerator within 2 hours.

Does DMSO Expire?

According to a consensus on Reddit,  it seems that if you are opening the bottle very frequently, it will have somewhat of an affect on the shelf life, eventually. The best thing would be to fill smaller bottles, rather than frequently opening the big bottle. Does DMSO expire?

But typically, DMSO has a shelf life of 2 to 3 years.

Below is an amazing product (there are many more shimmering reviews than the two below!) from the ever-trusted NOW Foods. MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) is essentially a solid form of DMSO.

“The product is great! I have experience with taking the pills for a few months now. In the beginning it seems to work, but it doesn’t take more than 4-6 weeks. The more you take, the stronger it gets. Especially when you eat healthy and drink water, you will notice a huge difference in your health and energy level.”

“This vitamin is absolutely amazing! It works like a charm and makes me feel like I can do anything. You can tell it’s doing something for you. One of my coworkers recommended it to me and I was skeptical but after a week, I’m not sure if I want to take anything else.”

Will DMSO heal liver cirrhosis? Probably not so much, although it has been reported. It will certainly help with a fatty liver, if you are eating well. DMSO eye drops can heal cataracts, macular degeneration and other eye issues.

We have seen why DMSO hasn’t been approved as a treatment for cancer by the FDA, but do we care? If it was approved and patentable, it wouldn’t work, and would cost four hundred dollars a month.

Clearly DMSO can help to heal cancer, especially when used with other treatments. Speaking of which, here is something else they don’t want you to know about (which can be used with DMSO to great effect for a myriad of conditions):

  1. you referred to “magnesium oil” as magnesium dioxide.
I have been using “magnesium oil” from “Ancient Minerals” for 7 years, and that magnesium is “magnesium chloride” I have never heard magnesium oil as a “dioxide”.
Is that possibly a typo on your part or am I unaware of this “other magnesium oil”

    thanks for your clarification
